practice makes perfect

i started the year (2008) by recreating my dreambook.

as i was cutting away pictures, it really dawned on me that all i want to do is travel the world! i even had the thought of being a travel journalist, and even owning a cruise ship line, an airline company, and being a pilot myself!

whew! big dreams. and it gets me excited.

this started my research about fellow travellers. i came across the website of charles veley http://themosttravelleperson.com, citing charles veley as the most travelled. he has been to over 600 countries/states/regions!

i joined and clicked in the places i've been to. i was ranked 2178! huh! i vowed to make it to the top too! initially, at least, to be part of the travel centurion club which is an organization of people who have travelled to the top 100 places in the world. i figured it would be (more) doable, the 100 places, than the 600 plus places visited by charles veley.

well...

so everyday, i log in, searching for tips, inspiration, travel ideas.

today must be such a lucky day! i googled filipino travel journalist, and was led on to erik trinidad's website! awesome!

i'm blogging now, as i'm taking his advise to do the daily grind. keep on writing about your travels, or just keep blogging to get really good at it.

so here I am.

i'm so inspired by his 16-month round-the-world travel. go here to find out about it - http://www.theglobaltrip.com

on feb 21 this year, me and my husband will be travelling to shanghai for the first time. i promise to bring a really good camera, with lots of memory cards, so i can take lots of pictures! start practicing being a travel journalist! yey, i'm excited!
